Affordable Therapy: Intern Services at Peace of Mind Psychotherapy
Prioritizing Your Mental Health and Well-Being
What is Our Affordable Therapy Program?
At Peace of Mind Psychotherapy, we believe everyone deserves meaningful mental health support, regardless of financial circumstances. Our Affordable Therapy Program offers reduced-rate psychotherapy for individuals and families across the Niagara Region and the broader Ontario community. Whether you are in Port Colborne, Niagara Falls, or accessing services virtually, we are committed to keeping effective, compassionate counselling within reach.
Our reduced-rate program is supported by advanced student therapists currently completing their clinical practicum. These graduate students have finished their core coursework and are eager to apply their up-to-date training to your care while gaining hands-on experience under the close guidance of a clinical supervisor.
Why Choose Our
Intern Services?
Our Approach to Client Care
- Collaborative Care: When you work with an intern, you benefit from a team-based approach. Every session is held under the consistent guidance of a clinical supervisor, ensuring your care is evidence-based, ethically sound, and effective.
- Fresh Perspectives: Our interns are immersed in the latest research and modern therapeutic techniques, bringing up-to-date training and a dedicated, non-judgmental approach to your healing journey.
- Focused Attention: Because our interns manage smaller caseloads, they are able to bring an exceptional level of focus, energy, and dedication to each client.
- Accessible Pricing: We offer a sliding scale and reduced fee structure to ensure high-quality mental health support remains inclusive and accessible, regardless of your financial circumstances.
Whether you are navigating life transitions, managing symptoms of anxiety or depression, or working through relationship challenges, our interns provide the same standard of care and professional dedication you would expect from our practice.
Our specialties include individual counselling for adults and youth, utilizing evidence-based frameworks such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. We prioritize your convenience by offering virtual sessions accessible to clients anywhere in Ontario, as well as in-person appointments at our Port Colborne and Niagara Falls locations, with evening and weekend availability.
